Zumba Class Wednesdays 9.15am Wednesdays

Are you thinking about getting fitter? Why not try our Zumba Class? Every adult should try to get 150 minutes of exercise each week. The class is for local people and can cater for people new to Zumba, as well as experienced people. The class is for women only and costs £1.

A special opportunity to work with Katie from Cecil Green Arts to make a big lantern for the annual Lantern Festival on 27th October at List Park

We are currently looking for a new Chair of the Board of Directors (Trustee). This is an unpaid role requiring approximately 2-4 hours per month.

The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for disadvantaged, marginalised diverse communities, with experience of operating at a senior strategic leadership level within a voluntary sector organisation. Although not essential, we would particularly welcome applications from those with lived experience of aspects of the issues facing people within our community.

Please note that we will be closed for staff training on Monday 4th September.

Nursery starts again on Tuesday 5th September.

There will be ESOL assessments for Shipley College during this week.

Communityworks groups will resume week beginning 11th September.

From April 2024, parents who both work or single parents, will be able to get 15 hours of free nursery education for their 2 year old. If you are interested in a place at Communityworks Nursery, which is rated Outstanding by Ofsted, please ring 01274 200589 or email

Some 2 year old children are already entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education. If you have a child that is nearly 2 or already 2, please give us a call for more information.

From September we will run After School Clubs Wednesdays to Saturdays. We will no longer run on Mondays and Tuesdays because we no longer have enough funding to run and also these clubs have not been well attended. So clubs resume on Wednesday 13th September as follows…..
